Hello and Welcome to Midwest Cottage and Finds…A blog, a shop and dream of mine….
Several years ago after attending an Oprah taping on what is now called a “side hustle” I came home and decided to kick up my game! I started small- attending auctions- buying what is called “smalls” and selling them on e-bay…I loved looking for one of kind items that were small enough to ship inexpensively – but interesting enough for others to purchase….
While at auctions I noticed vintage furniture pieces were being sold for next to nothing or almost being given away….These pieces had so much character and history……so I would grab a piece every now and then if it “spoke” to me…well….they did A LOT of talking!
Fast forward to about 9 years ago when a few “creatives” in our town were passing around the idea of starting a vintage, French-style market…several meetings later “Market On Moss” was born….and one of the founding vendors was Chris…… from Midwest Cottage and Finds…..
My painted vintage furniture pieces were the base of my booth….and they sold…and sold…..and sold…..I loved painting pieces – which I had been doing for awhile….fast forward a few more years and I became a paint retailer and I managed paint and pieces in local shops……
And now TODAY, I am not only a retailer for Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint, I am on the Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint Team – handling areas of social media and training new Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint retailers….
So browse around, look in the “shop” area and keep coming back….as I have not even started going through my barn stash yet!
Have questions about Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint and how to use it? You have come to the right place! Just ask….and thanks for being here….
Chris from Midwest Cottage and Finds…..

I was interested in the navy blue and gold stained glass window you had for sale at the Market on Moss that was in May. I was wondering if you still had that piece for sale, and if so, could you give me the dimensions of it and a picture of it in the light, please? Thank you!
Hi Jenny-yes I still have the piece!
