To be honest I was surprised this little grey wash stand was one of the only pieces that did not sell at my last Market On Moss event.
So I decided to change it up a bit. Enter Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint. Since this piece was sealed with wax it needed to be wiped down with denatured alcohol (this helps remove the wax) and then sanded lightly with a medium grit sand block before applying my first coat of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint. Tricycle Red. I mixed my paint-(which I will be doing a complete blog post on next week) and painted two coats. Once the paint dried I sealed her with Miss Mustard Seed’s Antiquing Wax, buffed her up and boom. Look at her now!!
I did let some of the grey show through.
I don’t think I will need to repaint this piece again.
Have a feeling in red it will not last long in the store.
I will be sharing this post on Miss Mustard Seed’s Furniture Feature Friday!
