First let’s welcome the newest member of our family–My oldest daughter jessica and her hubby welcomed ava christine into the world last Friday after 2 1/2 hours of labor and 3 pushes–it is her 3rd baby so we will chalk that easy labor up to experience!!
Ava with her big brother luke…….
My youngest daughter and her hubby are expecting their first child in December and we have started on their nursery…and i can tell you painting a crib and changing table rungs are the pits…
and then went with Rust Oleum 2x’s Painters Touch Spray Paint.. I did 4 coats on each piece….
the key is to be sure you watch closely for drips or runs…
take your time between coats and let each dry completely…
sand very lightly between coats to even out the look….
I did have a couple runs so i sanded them down (applied a bit of pressure when sanding) and resprayed very carefully…it looked great…..
The room is an attic made into a bedroom so it has the great slanted ceiling that I think will really add to the room once it is completed….the plan is to do a little something like this on each end wall……
I cant wait to see how Jamie’s nursery turns out!! We are definitely keeping you busy right now mom!
Jess
congrats on the new baby! ava and luke look precious!
The changing table looks great! Polycrylic is my go-to sealer! I love it.
