All of you who have purchased something at one of our markets know I truly LOVE my pieces….My furniture pieces are such a huge part of what I do and I spend so much time with them as I hunt for them, repair them, paint them and then stage them for each show…..I also clean, update, shine and repair a lot of the staging pieces that sell in our booth as well…………Sometimes as I am tagging items I put them away in a corner to “think about”……What usually happens is I grab a price tag while packing my trailer and let the item go….but…not….always…..I thought I would share a few of my items I kept back this past market……Now keep in mind my home is under complete construction right now so I have no “pretties” to look at and make me smile so that might be the reason I kept more than usual this time….so they may turn up at the next market once their competition is removed and unpacked from our POD…………………….But for now…..they are my “eye candy”
I had a couple of the vintage horns so I felt I could keep one….and I did bring the old slate chalk board to my last sale–but it did not go home with anyone…I was secretly happy…..
The porcelain tray…I can just see it with blue ball jars and flowers….and the silver sugar bowl….there is just something about it that I love….the wooden box will probably become a storage box/side table…..it has hand carved handles…
Or maybe I just felt they all belonged together…..in my barn so I can look at them until I am ready to let them go……..either way they are staying for now.
I would be interested in the silver compote (don’t know the exact name fot this item) should you be interested in selling it. It’s quite a lovely and unique piece. Thanks you.
